How much is 22 carat gold worth on July 1?
Bangla Press Desk: The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has adjusted the price of gold again in the country's market in a single day. After reducing it by Tk 3,266 on Monday, the organization reduced it by another Tk 3,324 on Tuesday (June 30). In this, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori including VAT has been fixed at Tk 2,21,966.
BAJUS gave this information in a notification. The new price came into effect from 10 am that day. Gold will be sold at the same price today, Wednesday as well.
BAJUS said that the reason for the decrease in gold prices is that the price of pure gold has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold including VAT has been fixed considering the overall situation.
BAJUS said that this price will remain effective in all jewelry establishments until further decision. However, wages are applicable according to the design of the jewelry. Since VAT is included in the selling price of gold jewelry, VAT cannot be collected separately from customers.
This year, the price of gold has been adjusted 84 times in the country's market. Where prices have been increased 41 times, reduced 42 times, and adjusted VAT 1 time.
