ICAO audit completed at Civil Aviation Academy
Bangla Press Desk: The three-day audit activities of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have been completed at the Civil Aviation Academy.
The audit activities started on 21 October and ended on Thursday.
The audit was conducted by Trainair Plus auditor Harvey Touron. During the audit, he closely reviewed the Civil Aviation Academy’s technical course management system, curriculum, syllabus preparation, technical equipment used in training, and updates of various simulator equipment, along with the entire training structure.
The audit analysed the international standards, safety management, and quality aspects of the academy’s courses and training activities.
Under the supervision of ICAO-certified Instructor and Director of the Civil Aviation Academy Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty, a team consisting of officials from various disciplines of the academy participated in the audit activities.
After the audit, Harvey Touron paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, Air Vice Marshal Mohammad Mostafa Mahmud Siddiq.
He expressed satisfaction with maintaining international standards in the academy’s training activities and advised conducting up-to-date training-need analyses for sustainable development in the future.
The Civil Aviation Authority expressed hope that through this audit, the training activities and the efficiency of the instructors of the academy will be further improved.
The recommendations received from the audit will be reflected in the academy’s future development plans.
It is to be noted that the Civil Aviation Academy is currently recognised as one of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS Gold Members in South Asia.
