ICT prosecution seeks death for Hasina, Kamal

Bangla Press Desk: International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam has applied to the judges’ panel for the death sentence for ousted dictator Sheikh Hasina, and former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal.

Tajul filed the plea on Thursday after concluding the argument presentation in a “crimes against humanity case” over last year’s uprising.

He left it to the tribunal to decide the fate of former IGP Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, a state approver and the case’s third accused.

The judges’ panel, led by ICT-1 Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Majumder, heard the petition.
