IGP for playing more effective role in maintaining law and order

Bangla Press Desk:   Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Ali Hossain Fakir has called on police personnel to play a more effective role in maintaining law and order across the country.

He made the call while addressing an Eid reunion programme as the chief guest at Police Headquarters on Tuesday (24 March), the first working day following the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.The IGP said that members of the Highway Police, Traffic Police and district police, along with other relevant units, performed their duties with sincerity and dedication to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for homebound people during the Eid period.During the programme, the police chief exchanged Eid greetings with officers of various ranks, personnel and civil staff working at Police Headquarters, and conveyed his post-Eid greetings.

Additional IGPs, heads of different units stationed in Dhaka, and officials and employees of Police Headquarters were also present at the event.Source: daily Sun
