India Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigns citing health concerns
  Bangla Press Desk: India’s Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has resigned from his position, citing health complications.  According to Indian media outlets, he submitted his resignation to President Droupadi Murmu on Monday (21 July), following the advice of his doctors. In his resignation letter, he noted his decision to step down from the country’s second-highest constitutional post in order to focus on his well-being. Dhankhar requested that his resignation be accepted with immediate effect. He stated: “I am resigning from the post of Vice President of India under Article 67(a) of the Constitution in order to prioritise my health and in accordance with my doctor’s recommendations. I request that my resignation take effect immediately.”
In the letter addressed to President Murmu, Dhankhar expressed his gratitude for her unwavering support and cordial working relationship during his tenure. “I sincerely thank you for your consistent sympathy and warm cooperation throughout my term,” he wrote. “I also extend my deep gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Cabinet. The Prime Minister’s support and guidance have been invaluable. I have learned immensely while serving in this role.”  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
