India yet to respond positively on Hasina’s repatriation: Foreign Adviser
Bangla Press Desk: Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has said that India has not yet given a positive response regarding the repatriation of Sheikh Hasina.
He noted that New Delhi is still examining the tribunal’s verdict, while Dhaka awaits its official reaction.
Speaking to the media at the Rangpur Circuit House on Friday during a four-day official visit to the region, the adviser also stated that the Foreign Ministry has no information concerning the possible return of BNP’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman.
Touhid Hossain further said that Begum Khaleda Zia could not yet be taken abroad for advanced treatment due to technical issues with the air ambulance scheduled to transport her.
He added that the interim government hopes to commence work on the proposed Chinese-supported hospital in Nilphamari soon, with the expectation that an elected government will see the project through to completion.
