Infamous pornography couple on 5-day remand

Bangla Press Desk:  A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed a couple, Azim and Bristy, on a five-day remand over their alleged involvement in pornography.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana passed the order after police produced the couple before the court, seeking a seven-day remand.

Earlier, on 19 October, the Crime Investigation Department (CID) arrested the duo from Bandarban.

According to the case statement, the couple rented a house in Bandarban about 15 days ago. They rarely went out of the house except for urgent needs.

Police said the couple used to make pornographic videos and upload them on international porn sites.

In May 2024, they opened a Telegram channel under their names, which now has several thousand members. They also created various groups to encourage others to make pornographic videos.

Earlier, a Bangladeshi news portal published a report about the involvement of the couple in pornography. The report also alleged that the couple also induced many others to enter the world of pornography.
