Interim govt may face trouble if BNP takes to streets: Goyeshwar
Bangla Press Desk: BNP’s Standing Committee Member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy has warned that it will be difficult for the interim government to remain in power if the BNP mobilises on the streets.
He said that instead of protesting in the proper way, BNP is presenting its arguments to the public.
Goyeshwar made these remarks on Sunday afternoon after paying respects at the grave of BNP’s founder martyred President Ziaur Rahman, along with the newly formed committee of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).
Accusing the government of deceiving the nation over the July National Charter, Goyeshwar said that the National Consensus Commission (NCC) has made some changes to the July Charter after its signing, but the government remains silent on these changes.
He expressed hope that the interim government will clarify their explanation regarding the alterations to the July Charter, which the public has already understood as a deception.
Goyeshwar also commented that false controversies are being created by various quarters over the possibility of BNP coming to power through the upcoming elections.
