Israel kills over 20 in Gaza; aid agencies urge ceasefire
Bangla Press Desk: At least 21 Palestinians, including nine people seeking aid, were killed in Israeli attacks across Gaza since Monday morning, according to local officials. Aid agencies told Al Jazeera that without an immediate ceasefire, Gaza is “spiralling into an irreversible humanitarian collapse”. Authorities in Gaza said over 22,000 aid trucks were stuck outside the enclave, while only 84 trucks have entered daily on average since Israel slightly eased restrictions on July 27. Aid organisations stress that at least 600 trucks are needed each day to meet basic needs. Hamas said it is willing to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to deliver aid to Israeli captives in Gaza if Israel opens “humanitarian corridors” to deliver aid to all residents.
Israel’s war on Gaza has so far killed at least 60,839 people and injured 149,588, according to the Gaza health ministry. Meanwhile, the October 7 attacks in Israel killed 1,139 people, with more than 200 taken captive.  This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
