Bangla Press Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman has undergone successful heart bypass surgery and is currently in stable condition. He has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for close monitoring.
The information was confirmed by Dr Khaliduzzaman, the party-assigned physician overseeing the Jamaat Ameer’s medical care.
He stated that the surgery was carried out at United Hospital in the capital on Saturday, commencing at 8:00am and concluding by 12:00 noon.
Dr Shafiqur Rahman was subsequently transferred to the ICU, where he remains under observation by the medical team.
