JCD announces new hall committees for DU
  Bangla Press Desk: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has dissolved its existing hall committees at Dhaka University (DU) and announced new convening committees for all units. In a press release issued on Friday, JCD confirmed the approval of new committees for 18 hall units. The halls that received new convening committees are: Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Kabi Jasimuddin Hall, Masterda Surja Sen Hall, Bijoy Ekattor Hall, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall, Salimullah Muslim Hall, Sir A.F. Rahman Hall, Jagannath Hall, Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall, Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, Rokeya Hall, Shamsunnahar Hall, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Bangladesh–Kuwait Maitree Hall, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall. According to the release, a total of 593 students have been given positions in the newly formed bodies.
Among them, Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall has 51 members, Kabi Jasimuddin Hall has 43, Masterda Surja Sen Hall has 47, Bijoy Ekattor Hall has 54, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall has 54, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall has 61, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall has 56, Salimullah Muslim Hall has 18, Sir AF Rahman Hall has 39, Jagannath Hall has 34, Dr Muhammad Shahidullah Hall has 48, Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall has 36, Amar Ekushey Hall has 25, Rokeya Hall has 8, Shamsunnahar Hall has 5, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall has 4, Bangladesh–Kuwait Maitree Hall has 3, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall has 7 members.
