Bangla Press Desk: Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has dissolved its existing hall committees at Dhaka University (DU) and announced new convening committees for all units.
In a press release issued on Friday, JCD confirmed the approval of new committees for 18 hall units.
The halls that received new convening committees are: Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall, Kabi Jasimuddin Hall, Masterda Surja Sen Hall, Bijoy Ekattor Hall, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall, Shaheed Sergeant Zahurul Haque Hall, Salimullah Muslim Hall, Sir A.F. Rahman Hall, Jagannath Hall, Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall, Fazlul Huq Muslim Hall, Amar Ekushey Hall, Rokeya Hall, Shamsunnahar Hall, Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall, Bangladesh–Kuwait Maitree Hall, and Kabi Sufia Kamal Hall.
According to the release, a total of 593 students have been given positions in the newly formed bodies.
