Journalist’s body found hanging from tree in Cox’s Bazar
  Bangla Press Desk: The police discovered a journalist’s body hanging from a tree in a Jhau forest near the beach in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday morning. The deceased, Mohammad Amin, 23, a resident of the district’s Ukhiya upazila, was the Ukhiya correspondent of Amar Praner Bangladesh newspaper. He was the admin of a Facebook page called Ukhiya News and also worked at the Friendship Field Hospital in the Rohingya camp. The body was found around 9:15am and sent to Cox’s Bazar General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Elias Khan said locals informed the police after seeing the body hanging with a nylon rope from a tree. The body bore no injury marks, while his sandals were found on the sand below, the OC said. Besides, a bus ticket from Chattogram to Cox’s Bazar scheduled for 9:20pm on Wednesday was found in his pocket, he said, adding that the police were investigating the death.
