Bangla Press Desk: A judicial probe committee will be formed to investigate last week’s violence in Gopalganj that left five people dead, said Road Transport and Bridges Adviser Fouzul Kabir Khan on Tuesday.
No innocent people will be harassed during investigations, and only the culprits will be booked, the adviser said when addressing a press briefing at the Gopalganj district administrator’s office. Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan was also present at the briefing.
Earlier in the day, the advisers visited the site of Awami League attacks on an NCP rally in Gopalganj town on Wednesday. The attacks led to lengthy clashes with the police and army.
