Landmark 25th Textile Expo Opens in Dhaka

Bangla Press Desk:  The 25th Bangladesh Edition of the Textile Series of Exhibitions 2026 opened in Dhaka on Wednesday, putting the latest textile technologies, machinery, materials and smart manufacturing solutions in the spotlight as Bangladesh’s apparel industry looks to strengthen competitiveness.

Organised by CEMS-Global USA and CEMS Bangladesh, the four-day exhibition is being held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre (BCFEC) in Purbachal and will continue until September 5.According to a press release, Meherun N Islam, president and group managing director of CEMS-Global USA & Asia-Pacific, presided over the opening ceremony. Sharf Uddin Ahmed Choudhury, secretary of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, attended as chief guest, while Dr Md Abdus Sabur, secretary and director general of the Department of Textiles, was the guest of honour.

Marking its 25th Bangladesh edition, the event brings together three major exhibitions: the 25th Textech Bangladesh 2026 International Expo, the 26th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show 2026 and the 53rd DyeChem Bangladesh 2026 International Expo.

The showcase features textile and apparel machinery, automation, digital production systems, yarn, fabrics, accessories, dyestuffs and textile chemicals, offering manufacturers a window into technologies that can raise productivity while reducing environmental impact.

A new Digital Transformation Zone at Hall B is highlighting automation, digital machinery and smart manufacturing solutions. Five seminars will also explore innovation, emerging technologies, sustainability and the future direction of the industry.

Over the past 25 years, the Textile Series has featured more than 1,475 exhibiting companies, 2,245 booths and pavilions, participants from 37 countries and over 16,000 business visitors, according to the organisers.

With global buyers and industry players converging in Dhaka, the exhibition is expected to generate fresh sourcing and investment opportunities while helping local manufacturers prepare for the next phase of growth.
