Bangla Press Desk: Jagannath University student Md Zobayed Hossain was killed as part of a premeditated plan made by his student Barsha and her boyfriend Mahir Rahman.
The duo had reportedly been planning the murder since 25 September.
Bongshal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam confirmed the information to reporters on Tuesday morning.
Rafiqul Islam said Mahir was accompanied by two of his friends on the day of the incident. They had bought two new switchgears (knives) for the attack. Mahir stabbed Zobayed following Barsha’s instruction to kill him.

Zobayed, a postgraduate student of the Statistics Department (2019–20 session) at Jagannath University and a member of the convening committee of the university unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, was stabbed to death on the staircase of a house in Old Dhaka’s Armanitola area, where he had gone to give tuition on Sunday afternoon.
