Mahmudur Rahman Manna's nomination cancelled

Bangla Press Desk: The nomination paper of Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna has been cancelled for the Bogra-2 (Shibganj) constituency.

District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Md Taufiqur Rahman announced the decision at 3:30pm on Friday after completing the scrutiny of nomination papers.

Manna’s nomination was cancelled due to discrepancies found in the information provided in his affidavit, said Taufiqur Rahman.

The nomination of Shariful Islam Jinnah, a former Jatiya Party lawmaker, was also cancelled for the same constituency.

The Returning Officer said Jinnah failed to submit the wealth statement form with his affidavit, leading to the cancellation of his nomination.
