Minister assures adequate supply as govt to withdraw fuel rationing for public transport
Bangla Press Desk: Road Transport and Bridges Minister Shaikh Rabiul Alam has announced that the fuel rationing system for public transport will be withdrawn, assuring that buses and long-distance vehicles will receive adequate fuel supplies despite the ongoing energy challenges.
The minister made the announcement on Saturday in the Gulistan area of Dhaka, stating that the existing limits on fuel allocation for public transport would no longer remain in effect.He said that from Saturday night, fuel rationing for long-distance and public transport services would be lifted and buses would receive sufficient fuel to maintain normal operations.The minister also noted that complications in the country’s fuel supply had emerged due to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which have affected global energy markets.Source: daily Sun
