Motorcade arrives at airport to receive Zubaida Rahman

Bangla Press Desk:  Dr Zubaida Rahman, wife of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, is returning to Bangladesh from London on Friday. 

A motorcade has been kept ready at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to receive her. She is scheduled to arrive at around 11am.

Atiqur Rahman Rumman, a member of BNP’s Media Cell who is in the motorcade, said the flight has been delayed by one hour. As a result, Zubaida Rahman will arrive in Dhaka around 11am.

Earlier on Thursday (4 December), she departed for Dhaka from London on Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-202 at around 6:30pm (local time).

Upon her arrival here, Zubaida will travel back to London on a special air ambulance equipped with advanced medical facilities, arranged by the emir of Qatar for carrying Khaleda Zia and her companions.

Zubaida, who is also a member of the medical board formed for the former prime minister’s treatment, has been monitoring her health condition continuously through virtual consultations.

BNP sources said Tarique and Zubaida have completed all arrangements for Khaleda’s treatment at London Bridge Hospital in the UK.
