NSU Social Services Club hands out Eid clothes and iftar meals
Bangla Press Desk: The North South University Social Services Club (NSUSSC) organised its annual humanitarian programme, “Iftar Distribution and Eid Clothing 2026,” on Monday at Jamia Islamia Darul Karar Madrasha in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
The initiative aimed to share the spirit of Ramadan by providing iftar meals and new Eid clothing to madrasha students. The event was arranged to promote compassion, charity, and unity—values closely associated with the holy month.
During the program, members of the club distributed 550 sets of Eid clothing among the students, including 250 dresses for girls and 300 dresses for boys. Alongside the clothing distribution, the students were also provided with iftar meals.
Members of NSUSSC actively participated in organizing the event, ensuring the smooth distribution of food and clothing. The program also allowed club members to interact directly with the students, fostering empathy, compassion, and greater social awareness.
Faculty Advisor of the club Meshbaul Hassan Chowdhury highlighted the importance of the initiative, saying, “Such initiatives reflect the true essence of Ramadan and help spread the happiness of Eid.”
Club President Khalid Bin Morshed Ramim also praised the efforts of the volunteers, stating, “I sincerely appreciate the dedication of our members in making this event successful. We are determined to continue serving the welfare of the underprivileged.”
The North South University Social Services Club has long been involved in welfare initiatives aimed at supporting disadvantaged communities. The organization says it will continue similar humanitarian activities to help build a more compassionate and inclusive society.Source: daily Sun
