Nur regains consciousness, urges everyone to pray
  Bangla Press Desk: Gono Odhikar Parishad president Nurul Haque Nur, who was injured in an attack in Bijoynagar, Dhaka, has regained consciousness. The information was shared in a Facebook status posted at 7:05 am on Saturday (August 30) from his official page. According to the status, Nur, the Gono Odhikar Parishad president and former DUCSU VP, remains under treatment in the ICU after last night’s attack. He has regained partial consciousness and urged everyone to pray for him. The post also included two photos showing Nur lying in a hospital bed with a bandage on his nose and an oxygen mask on his face.
On Friday night, Nur was injured after law enforcement reportedly attacked following a clash between Jatiya Party and Gono Odhikar Parishad activists in Bijoynagar, Dhaka. Several videos circulated on social media show Nur bleeding heavily from his face down to his chest, with a broken nose, being carried on a stretcher to the hospital.
