Pakistan FM Ishaq Dar visits Jamaat ameer

Bangla Press Desk: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar paid a courtesy visit to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at his residence in the capital’s Bhatara area on Sunday afternoon.
During the meeting, which lasted for more than half an hour, Dar inquired about the Jamaat chief’s health and discussed various issues of mutual interest, Jamaat’s Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher confirmed.
Taher said that the two leaders exchanged views on fostering unity within the Muslim world. They particularly discussed how Muslim-majority countries could take a stronger stance to end Israeli aggression in Palestine.
The meeting also touched upon opportunities for Bangladesh and Pakistan to work together on matters of common interest as neighbouring countries, Taher added. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
