Pakistan’s deputy PM to visit Dhaka on 23-24 August
  Bangla Press Desk: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar will arrive in Dhaka on a two-day official visit on Saturday (23 August). He is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on a special flight at noon, where he will be received by Dr Md Nazrul Islam, secretary (West and East) of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. On the first day of his visit, the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka will host a reception in his honour. During the event, Dar is expected to hold separate meetings with Bangladeshi academics, politicians, and members of civil society. On Sunday (24 August), Bangladesh and Pakistan will hold a bilateral foreign minister-level meeting. Ishaq Dar will lead the Pakistani delegation, while Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain will represent Bangladesh.
The discussions are expected to result in the signing of six to seven agreements and memorandums of understanding between the two countries. Following the meeting, the Government of Bangladesh will host a special luncheon in honour of the visiting delegation. During his stay, the Pakistani foreign minister will also pay a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus and meet with senior government officials, including the chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA).
