Bangla Press Desk: A patient died at the Khulna Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning minutes after an outsourced cleaner removed the oxygen mask for supplying the life-saving gas to another patient.
As the news went viral, the hospital authority formed a five-member probe committee on orders from Dr Md Abu Jafar, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Saiful Islam, 38, hailed from the Jogipol Union Parishad of Khulna district. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday with kidney complications.
In the evening, he started suffering from breathing issues, but it took past midnight for his family to arrange oxygen supply for him.
