Police uncover crude bomb factory inside Geneva Camp
Bangla Press Desk: Police have uncovered a makeshift factory used for producing crude bombs, commonly known as cocktails, inside Geneva Camp under Mohammadpur Police Station in the capital.
A large number of explosives and raw materials used for manufacturing such devices were seized during the raid.
Assistant Police Commissioner (Mohammadpur Zone) Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the development on Friday evening, saying that law enforcers located the factory on the rooftop of a building inside the camp.
“We have found a cocktail-manufacturing setup in Geneva Camp. A significant number of crude bombs and various tools and materials used to produce them have been recovered from the rooftop of a building,” he told reporters.
According to police sources, the illegal manufacturing was taking place in a building adjacent to the residence of Buniya Sohel in Block-7 of the camp.
