Prime Minister expands team with two special assistants
Bangla Press Desk: The government on Thursday announced the appointment of two special assistants to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The Cabinet Division issued a notification announcing the appointments, after two more special assistant appointments were announced in the same day.
Among the new officials, Tanvir Gani will serve as the PM’s special assistant on investment and capital market affairs, while Bijan Kanti Sarker will serve as the special assistant on minority issues.
The duo would enjoy the rank and benefits of a state minister during their stay in office, the Cabinet Division said.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointments of renowned researcher Dr Shakirul Islam Khan and Md Saiyed bin Abdullah as the PM’s special assistants on a contractual basis.
Dr Shakirul Islam Khan is expected work on the PM’s policy matters, projects and foreign employment in the Asia-Pacific region. He will hold the rank of a secretary.
Md Saiyed bin Abdullah will work on youth employment and hold the rank of a Grade-2 official.
