Prisoner dies at DMCH hours after admission

Bangla Press Desk:   A prisoner died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Thursday, hours after being admitted there. The deceased was identified as Md Amir Hossain, 38.

Amir fell sick at Dhaka Central Jail on Wednesday night, said jail guard Arman, leading to his admission at the hospital around 9pm. Amir passed away around 11am on Thursday.

No further details about the prisoner were released.

Md Faruk, in charge of the police camp at DMCH, said the body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
