Protesters begin gathering at Shahbagh in the morning

Bangla Press Desk:   Students and members of the public began gathering at Shahbagh in the capital on Friday morning to protest the death of Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline organiser of the July mass uprising and spokesperson of Inqilab Moncho.

People arrived at Shahbagh both in processions and on their own initiative, carrying flags and chanting slogans. Protesters were heard chanting slogans such as “Break and crush the black hand of fascism,” “There will be no place for the Awami League in this land,” and “Hadi bhai’s blood will not go in vain.”
