Season’s lowest temperature 11°C recorded in Panchagarh
Bangla Press Desk: The cold in Panchagarh is increasing day by day. Even before the first week of December has passed, life in the district has become stagnant due to chilly winds and fog.
For the past few days, the minimum temperature in Tetulia had remained steady at 12°C. But on Saturday (6 December), the weather office recorded a new season-low temperature. At 6am, the Tetulia Weather Observatory recorded a minimum temperature of 11°C.
At that time, the humidity in the air was 95 percent. As a result, the cold intensified from early morning, and residents felt a bone-chilling cold.
Earlier, on Tuesday (December 2), the season’s lowest temperature had been recorded at 11.7°C. After that, for three consecutive days (Wednesday to Friday), the minimum temperature in Tetulia had remained at 12°C.
Yesterday, Friday, the minimum temperature at 9 a.m. was 12°C, with humidity at 92 percent. Due to heavy fog, visibility on the roads decreased, forcing vehicles to move slowly with their headlights on. Yesterday’s highest daytime temperature was recorded at 27°C.
Jitendranath Roy, acting officer of the Tetulia Weather Observation Center, said that the temperature in Tetulia remained at 12°C for several days. Today it dropped to 11°C. Having such conditions at the beginning of December indicates the possibility of a cold wave in the coming days.
