Bangla Press Desk: Najmul Hossain Shanto, a long-time Abahani player, is set to join arch-rivals Mohammedan for next year’s Dhaka Premier League (DPL), sources within the Mohammedan camp confirmed to Daily Sun. “Yes, we spoke to him about next year’s DPL,” said a Mohammedan official.
“He is in form and has performed well in ODIs in recent times. We will be happy to have him on our side,” the official added. Mohammedan are also retaining last season’s standout performers Tawhid Hridoy and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, while holding talks with another left-handed top-order batter, Soumya Sarkar.
“Miraz and Hridoy played last year, so they are staying this year as well. We are in talks with Soumya. We will be finalising those changes in the coming days,” said the Mohammedan official. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
