Bangla Press Desk: A Dhaka court on Tuesday put singer-cum-lawmaker Momtaz on a four-day remand in a murder case related to last year’s anti-fascist mass upsurge.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Jewel Rana granted the remand after Mirpur Model Police Station Sub-inspector Manirul Islam sought a seven-day remand order.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the development.
Earlier, at 11.45pm Monday, law enforcers arrested Momtaz from the capital’s Dhanmondi area.
