Tarique Rahman to perform Umrah with family

Bangla Press Desk:   BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will leave London for Saudi Arabia in the last week of November to perform the holy Umrah. 

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's security advisor, Major General (retd) Fazle Elahi Akbar, confirmed the matter on Sunday.

He said the BNP acting chairman will go to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah before or after 20 November.

According to the party sources, he may return to Bangladesh after performing the Umrah.

Elahi also said it has not yet been confirmed whether Tarique Rahman will come to Bangladesh directly from Saudi Arabia or via London.

Upon returning, the acting chairman will stay at house - 196, Gulshan Avenue, Gulshan-2, Elahi said.

It is reported that Tarique Rahman's possible return to the country has created great interest among party leaders and activists.
