Turkish deputy foreign minister calls on BNP secretary general

Bangla Press Desk: Visiting Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Turkey, A Beris Ekinci, called on Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, secretary general of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), on Monday at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan.

The meeting began at around 2pm, where Turkish Ambassador in Dhaka Ramis Sen was also present there, BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan told journalists later.

BNP's standing committee members Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Salahuddin Ahmed, acting chairman's international affairs adviser Humayun Kabir and organising Secretary Shama Obaid were present at the meeting, among others.

The meeting is likely to discuss bilateral relations, the recent political situation in Bangladesh and the upcoming national elections, Kabir Khan added. This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
