Bangla Press Desk: Two cattle traders reportedly lost Tk25 lakh after falling victim to doping gang (Ogyan Party) in the capital. The incident occurred around 12:30 am on Thursday night at the Tejgaon Tibet-Nabisco intersection, according to the victims. The traders are Md. Hasan (50) and Anwar Hossain (51). They had come to Dhaka from Jamalpur’s Chargawaya to sell sacrificial cattle for Eid. Hasan was found unconscious and admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 2 AM. Anwar was admitted to another hospital.
Noor Islam, also a cattle trader from Chargawaya, said: “Hasan and Anwar came to the Tibet cattle market in Dhaka with 28 cows. After selling some of the cattle, they had Tk25 lakh in their possession. Around 12:30 am, they left the market to get food. When they didn’t return after a while, we went out to search for them. Eventually, we found both of them lying unconscious on the roadside.” Anwar was taken to a local hospital and Hasan to DMCH for treatment, he said. Inspector Md. Faruq, in charge of the DMCH police camp, said: “We received a complaint that a man named Hasan lost Tk25 lakh after falling victim to a drugging gang. He was brought to the hospital unconscious.
