The aircraft crashed near the airport on Blythe Avenue, prompting a multi-agency emergency response.The Fresno Fire Department said two people died at the scene, while two others sustained critical injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. Authorities had not immediately released the identities of those killed or injured.

The Fresno Police Department, Fresno Fire Department, Fresno County Sheriff’s Office and North Central Fire Department responded to the scene. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) also sent crews after the crash briefly disrupted power supplies in the surrounding area.
