Vehicle carrying Khaleda Zia’s body enters National Parliament Complex premises

Bangla Press Desk:  A mortuary van wrapped with the national flag carrying the body of BNP Chairperson and three-time former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, widely regarded as an uncompromising leader for democracy in Bangladesh, reached Manik Mia Avenue.

The vehicle carrying the body of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia entered the premises of the National Parliament Complex at 11:50am on Wednesday (31 December).

Earlier, the vehicle left the residence Firoza at 11:04am.

Tarique Rahman, his wife Zubaida Rahman, their daughter Zaima Rahman, and other family members, including the wife of his younger brother Arafat Rahman Koko, went to the janaza venue.

The mortuary van left the Evercare Hospital here at 8:53am for her residence as members of law enforcement agencies were deployed on both sides of the streets from the hospital to her residence.
