Vote rigging must be resisted: Jamaat Ameer
Bangla Press Desk: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that party activists must guard polling stations firmly and resist anyone attempting to rig votes.
Ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections, he issued this strong warning to party members during a views-exchange meeting held in Mirpur, Dhaka, on Friday evening, where he was the chief guest.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman stated that if his party comes to power, it will bring qualitative changes to the country’s politics.
“Our first priority will be reforming the education system. If moral education is ensured, there will be no corruption or looting, and social equality will be established,” he said.
He also pledged to restore discipline in the financial sector and ensure security for foreign investments.
Speaking against extortion, the Jamaat chief said his party would end the cycle of corrupt politics in the country.
Declaring that Jamaat fears no force, Dr. Rahman added that if his party forms the government, it will maintain friendly relations with all countries and allow no single nation to dominate Bangladesh.
