Bangla Press Desk: Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has said that the country is now prepared to hold the 13th national elections, which are anticipated to take place in mid-February to establish a new government.
Speaking at a joint briefing after a meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim on Tuesday (August 12), Yunus said, “Through elections, we can bring the country back to a normal course of governance. For this, we need considerable support, and we look forward to Malaysia’s assistance.”
Inviting Malaysian investment in Bangladesh, he said the country offers “immense potential.”
Addressing the Rohingya crisis, Yunus described it as a major challenge for Bangladesh and called for help from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to resolve the issue.
