Will meet countrymen in person soon: Tarique

Bangla Press Desk: BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has said he will soon meet the country’s people in person. He made the remark while addressing a conference of the Rajshahi metropolitan BNP as the chief guest on Sunday. “The majority of the country’s people want to have faith in the BNP. We must remain united, uphold that trust, and work to rebuild the nation,” Tarique said. “In the parliamentary election set to be held before Ramadan next year, the first step toward establishing the people’s political rights will be implemented, though many challenges will still remain.”

Coming down heavily on the previous government, he said, “The autocratic regime has destroyed the country’s economy, healthcare system, and law enforcement agencies. The BNP will rebuild those, and we are moving toward that goal.” He said, “After coming to power, we must create efficient job opportunities at home and abroad. We must strive to ensure that the light of education reaches the students. We must work to shape them for the future of the country.” Addressing the BNP leaders and activists, Tarique said, “We need to bring the party closer to the people, earn their trust, and work together with them.”This article was originally published on Daily Sun.
