Year-round tax return filing system launched by NBR

Bangla Press Desk:   The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has announced that income tax returns can now be submitted throughout the year, in a move aimed at easing submission.

NBR Chairman Abdur Rahman Khan disclosed the information to journalists on Tuesday (31 March), adding that taxpayers who file their returns early will receive special benefits.He said the tax return submission process would be divided into four phases to streamline the system.

The NBR chairman also noted that intelligence surveillance has been intensified against large-scale tax evaders.

Expressing optimism about meeting the revenue target for the current fiscal year, he added that plans are underway to boost revenue collection over the next three months.
