A source in the US Awami League said that the rally was canceled due to various negative reactions from various quarters.
United States Awami League President Dr. Siddiqur Rahman said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the historic Padma Bridge on June 25 at 10 am (Bangladesh time). He will visit Bangladesh on June 21 at the invitation of the Central Committee to attend the event. Therefore, the other leaders and workers of the party will hold various programs in New York instead of the program to be held in front of the head office of the World Bank.
