Connecticut expart Sajjadur Rahman is no more

Staff Reporter: Alhaj Sajjadur Rahman, expatriate of Manchester, Connecticut and former chairman of Kalkalia Union Parishad number 1 of Sunamganj Jagannathpur police station has passed away (We belong to Allah and surely we return to Him). He was 80 years old at the time of his death. He was suffering from kidney and lung diseases for a long time. He was under treatment at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut for the past one and a half months. Last Thursday (December 7) around 10:30 am local time, he died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons and a daughter and numerous relatives.

Late Sajjadur Rahman’s eldest son Taufiqul Ambia Tipu is a life member of Jalalabad Association of America in the United States, President of Sunamganj District Association and President of Connecticut BNP. Another son Tarekul Ambia, is the vice president of the Bangladeshi American Association of Connecticut (BAAC).  His son-in-law Ahmed Jilu is former general secretary of Jalalabad Association of America.

Sajjadur Rahman’s two sons Taufiqul Ambia Tipu, arekul Ambia and daughter Lutfa Jilu all live in Manchester, Connecticut.
The late Sajjadur Rahman’s burial will be at the Manchester Muslim Cemetery tomorrow, Friday (December 8th) after Jumah his Namaz e Janazaat at the Baitul Mamur Mosque (46 Cottage Street, Manchester, CT) in Manchester, Connecticut. His family has asked for prayers for the late Sajjadur Rahman from all over the country and abroad.
