Noman Sabit: A miscreant has shot dead two Bangladeshi nationals in the City of Buffalo in New York in the United States at around 12:30pm (local time) on Saturday.
The deceased were identified as Babul (52) and Yusuf (40). According to local Bangladeshi community leaders,Babul Uddin and his family came to Buffalo from Virginia eight months ago. Yusuf Mia and his family came from Sylhet four months ago on tourist visa.

According to eyewitnesses, Babul was doing some construction work at Yusuf’s house at 100 block of Zenner Street when a man asked them for money. An argument broke out and at some point, the miscreant shot at the two Bangladeshi men before leaving in a rush. On information, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies.
A SWAT unit of the police was called to assist the officers on the scene. Police blocked off Zenner Street to traffic at East Ferry Street.
Murray Holman, executive director of the Stop the Violence Coalition, said, “Things like this used to happen on the regular but it has been a little bit calmer. We come out here and make sure the community is aware of what’s going on, and try to help out families, and try to curve the violence down.”
Police is yet to confirm whether they have taken a suspect in custody in connection with the shooting.
