9 Bangladeshis die in second wave of corona in US

Staff Reporter: In the second wave of corona in the United States, 9 Bangladeshis have died due to coronavirus. Hundreds are being treated at the affected hospital and at home. They are all from New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Michigan, California, Florida, Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC.
Abdul Khaleq Khair, vice-president of Bangladesh Society, a large expatriate organization in New York, USA has died of corona virus. He died on the evening of November 9 in a hospital in Long Island, New York. Apart from being the vice-president of the Bangladesh Society, he was also an active member of the United States BNP.
Abdul Hai Zia, former president of a devided Chattogram Association in New York, died of the corona virus around 11:30 pm on Monday, December 6. The night before, he was admitted to Mount Sinai Hospital in Astoria.
Henora Begum, mother of Kazi Taifur Hossain, a resident of Richmond Hill, New York City, died on December 6 after contracting the corona virus. Living in the state of Michigan
Enamul Haque died of corona at the hospital on the afternoon of December 6. Ebadur Rahman, an elderly man from the state of Michigan, died last week from a corona attack.
Altafur Rahman died of corona virus at a local hospital in Patterson, New Jersey on December 6. Abdul Haq, a resident of Wellingford, Connecticut, died on December 8 at a local Yale Hospital.
Iftekhar Ahmed Khasru, former general secretary of the Metro Washington Awami League, died at a local hospital around 11 a.m. on December 9 after contracting the corona virus.
Harun Khan, a well-known face of the Bangladeshi community in New York, died of coronavirus at noon on December 9 at Long Island Juice (LIJ) Hospital.
