Another Bangladeshi dies of Corona in New York

Staff Reporter: Another expatriate Bangladeshi died of corona in New York, USA. The deceased was identified as Golam Ahiya Jewel. He died Friday morning (January 1) at a New York hospital. He was 50 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, 1 son and numerous relatives. Leaders of the Netrokona Association in the United States have confirmed his death.
The late Golam Ahiya Jewel has been living in Jamaica, New York for a long time. Jewel was admitted to the local with heart problems last month. When he improved there, Corona later became infected. He died last Friday (January 1) morning while undergoing corona treatment. His country home is said to be in Naljuri village of Mohanganj police station in Netrokona. His death has cast a shadow of mourning among Bangladeshis living in the United States, including New York.
Leaders and activists of various social and cultural organizations, including the leaders of the Netrokona Association in the United States, have expressed their condolences over the death of Golam Ahiya Jewel. At the same time, the leaders expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
