100% auto pass in HSC
Banglapress Desk: The results of last year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations show a 100% pass rate as the government published the results without holding the tests due to the coronavirus situation. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina officially announced the results through video conferencing at 11am from Ganabhaban on Saturday. This year, a total of 1,145,329 candidate registered and passed HSC from nine general education boards, while 88,302 candidates passed Alim from Madrasa Board and 133,746 passed from the Technical Education Board. Earlier, the Education Ministry Dipu Moni announced that as the examinations could not be held, candidates will be awarded GPA (grade point average) after cumulating 75% of their Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and 25% of their Junior School Certificate (JSC) results. Those who wish to get their results via SMS need register prior to the announcement of the results by messaging HSC Board name (First 3 letters) Roll 2020 to 16222, said a statement from the Education Ministry.
