Bangla Press Desk: All the jewellery businesses across the country have been shut indefinitely in protest against the arrest of BAJUS Vice President Md Reponul Hasan in a “false case” on Wednesday night, the alliance of jewellers said in a statement.
All the jewellery stores and business establishments would remain shut indefinitely from Wednesday night, demanding the release of Md Reponul, read the statement from Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS).
BAJUS Acting President Gulzar Ahmed, General Secretary Badal Chandra Rai and other central leaders of the organisation signed the statement.
Earlier, at 7.30pm, law enforcers arrested Md Reponul from his business site at Tatibazar in the capital. Source: DS
