Dr Murad Hasan left the country to Canada

Staff Reporter: Dr Murad Hassan, who resigned on Tuesday as the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting amid severe backlash for his indecent remarks, left the country early Friday. He will go to Canada via Dubai. Earlier, he arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 9:00 pm on Thursday. He was waiting in the nightingale lounge at the airport. The flight was scheduled to depart at 11:20 pm but left at around 1:25 am. The news was confirmed by the airport sources. Dr Murad lost his position as Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting with obscene and extremely insulting remarks towards women. Sources said he bought a ticket to Canada. The flight was delayed due to a delay in receiving corona test reports of other passengers of the same flight. BP/SM
