
Overflow crowd forces early closure on Second Day of Atlanta FOBANA


Staff Reporter: On the second day of the 39th FOBANA Convention in Atlanta, Saturday (August 30), the program was shut down earlier than scheduled. Due to an audience turnout that exceeded the hall’s seating capacity, FOBANA officials, police and security personnel were compelled to close the program ahead of time.
Convention officials stated that the artists whose performances were canceled on the second day will perform tomorrow (Sunday). They also mentioned that such an overwhelming turnout of attendees has never been seen before at a FOBANA convention. On Sunday, special measures will be taken to manage and control the audience.
The third day’s program will begin as scheduled at around 1 p.m. on Sunday, featuring performances by Pritom and other renowned artists. The 39th FOBANA Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, began on Friday (August 29) and will conclude at midnight on Sunday.
