Social Gathering of Former Bangladesh Society Officials in New York on Sunday

Staff Reporter: A social gathering of former officials of the Bangladesh Society in New York will be held next Sunday (August 24). The event will take place at the auditorium of the LaGuardia Marriott Hotel in New York. According to chief coordinator and journalist Zaman Tapan, guests attending the social gathering will be treated to the finest hospitality, including a dinner.

Journalist Zaman Tapan stated that final preparations for the event have been completed. Already, around 150 former officials of the Bangladesh Society have registered. However, including artists and media professionals, nearly 200 people are expected to attend this first-ever event.

He further mentioned that members of the Society’s current executive committee have also registered. A commemorative publication will be released on the occasion of the social gathering, with printing scheduled to be completed by Friday night.

In addition to a discussion session, a cultural program featuring performances by local artists will be held. Due to numerous requests, the registration deadline for those wishing to attend the gathering was extended several times. However, no further extensions are possible at the last moment since the hotel authorities required the final guest count by August 16. August 15 was the last date for registration.
