Stand by the people instead of spreading propaganda on Facebook: Aminul Haque

Bangla Press Desk: State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque has urged opposition party members to focus on resolving the problems faced by the public, rather than spreading propaganda on Facebook and other social media platforms.

He stated, "The people of Bangladesh are now highly aware; they no longer readily believe false propaganda. Let us all work together to build a peaceful, prosperous, and humane Bangladesh."

Aminul Haque made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the annual sports competition and prize-giving ceremony of Bauniabadh Ideal High School in Pallabi, Dhaka, on Wednesday evening (October 28).

Criticizing the opposition, the State Minister noted that while the government—in collaboration with various ministries and city corporations—is actively working on national development and addressing the fundamental issues faced by the public, certain elements are attempting to incite chaos by posting provocative content on social media.

Addressing the opposition, he emphasized that if they truly wish to protect the rights of the people, they should stand by them—focusing on solving real-world problems rather than remaining preoccupied with social media.

Aminul Haque stated that the government’s goal is to build a prosperous Bangladesh by fulfilling the public's expectations, safeguarding their rights, and ensuring economic emancipation. He added that everyone must work together to create a peaceful and humane nation for future generations.

Regarding development in the Dhaka-16 constituency, he highlighted his long-standing connection to the Pallabi and Rupnagar areas, where he has resided for nearly 45 years. As a former footballer and political activist, he has consistently endeavored to support the local community through both good times and bad.

Aminul Haque affirmed that even though he was not elected in the most recent election, he has remained—and will continue to remain—by the side of the local residents. He pledged to keep working toward resolving the fundamental and social challenges faced by the people across the four wards of Pallabi and Rupnagar.

Highlighting ongoing development initiatives, the State Minister mentioned projects such as the renovation of school and college buildings, as well as the improvement and modernization of playgrounds. He further noted that he is making every possible effort to address issues related to education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and water supply (via WASA pumps). The event was presided over by Md. Anisur Rahman, acting convener of the Pallabi Thana BNP and president of the school managing committee. Also present were several local leaders, including metropolitan-level leader Gazi Rezaunul Hossain Riaz, Mahbub Alam Montu, and Ashraf Ali Gazi—who serves as the senior joint convener of the Pallabi Thana BNP and chairman of the Bauniabadh Development Committee.
